Child-Centred Play Therapy &
Tele-Play Therapy (Telehealth)
for Children across Australia.
We provide Play Therapy services for children aged 2-12 years in Balwyn and Mitcham, Victoria, as well as via Tele-Play (Telehealth) across Australia.
Within a safe, therapeutic relationship, children are supported to; express feelings, process experiences and build confidence at their own pace.
Tele-Play Therapy (telehealth) is a key service offering, ensuring children and families can access support when attending in person is not possible.
Can’t attend in person?
Tele-Play sessions are adapted to suit your child’s age and needs and may be ideal for families in regional or remote areas, those with accessibility needs, or children who feel more comfortable engaging from home.
About
Play Therapy
Many children do not yet have the words to describe complex emotions or experiences.
Play Therapy is a specialised form of child therapy and is a developmentally appropriate form of counselling for children. Through play, children communicate what they are feeling and work through challenges at their own pace.
The play therapist follows the child’s lead, providing empathy, acceptance and emotional safety rather than directing the play.
Play Therapy can support children experiencing:
Anxiety and worries
Emotional regulation difficulties
Behavioural or social challenges
Family separation, change or conflict
Grief or loss
Trauma or stressful life events
Low self-esteem or reduced confidence

How I work
My practice is grounded in child-centred Play Therapy and is non-directive, trauma-informed and evidence-based.
I believe children grow and heal best when they feel emotionally safe, accepted and understood.
I work collaboratively with parents and caregivers while protecting the child’s therapeutic space.
Parent consultations and regular check-ins are held to share themes, discuss progress and explore supportive strategies for home.
Tele-Play sessions are also available using secure online platforms and are carefully adapted to remain engaging and developmentally appropriate.
